End-of-life doulas are not medical professionals; therefore, I do not provide medical care such as administering medications or providing medical advice. My role is to provide emotional, practical, and spiritual support at any point during the end-of-life process, from initial diagnosis to early bereavement.
*Advance care planning is a process that enables individuals to make plans about their future health care. It involves discussing and preparing for future decisions about your medical care if you become seriously ill or unable to communicate your wishes.
I strive to honor the dignity of each individual, listen deeply to their wishes and needs, and empower individuals to have increased control, autonomy, and peace at the end of life.
